Economic History Association Larry Neal Prize 2019

Director of the HIAS GLECS Kyoji Fukao has won the Larry Neal Prize 2019 for the best article in Explorations in Economics History. The article “Japan and the Great Divergence, 730—1874” was co-authored with Jean-Pascal Bassino, Bishnupriya Gupta, Stephen Broadberry and Masanori Takashima. We are very delighted with this news that the authors having some relations with HIAS received the award.
